Ministering Deliverance

MINISTERING DELIVERANCE

INTRODUCTION:
Deliverance according to the scriptures is one of the essentials of the kingdom with regards to the Great Commission (Mt. 28:19-20). It is a cardinal area of the ministry of Jesus Christ as taught and demonstrated by Him. Jesus Christ Himself ministered deliverance to a great number of people (Lk. 4:16 – 19; Acts 10:38; Mk. 5:1 – 20; Mt. 10:1; Mk. 16:15 -18; Lk. 9:1 – 2; 10:17 – 20.
Ministering deliverance is such a venturesome and dangerous one. Dangerous, not because      the devil is powerful and can overcome a spirit-filled child of God, but because of the technicalities  involved and the subtility or craftiness of the devil. Many who have ventured into ministering deliverance without the true knowledge and teaching are not only out of the deliverance field today but out the Christian race, Acts. 19:13 -17. Ministering deliverance is one spiritual exercise that brings the child of God into open confrontation with the powers of darkness. It is an act of ‘‘entering’’ into the kingdom of darkness to bring out their lawful captives. This could result into many attacks and counter attacks which have made many to dread this ministry.
